Arab Esque Our own Donna Conway says: Just to let you know that I am up and running with most of my stock for souks at Haflas and will happily go anywhere I'm invited. I am also getting my stock on online and can take credit card payments. I will soon have a wholesale operation online too so watch this space!
The Arab Esque Souk is also stocking a range of professional costumes of exceptional quality at very low prices in larger cup sizes for those us not wishing to ooze quite so much. Larger professional costumes are almost impossible to get so I am having them custom made at no extra cost.
Please see my events page on the website for where and when I am booked for haflas and workshops etc.

Meera has a shop in Leicester at 5C Sawday Street, LE2 7JW (Tel: 07908 850640) Meera sells an assortment of Indian jewellery, bindis, manufactured belly dance clothing etc but makes more by hand too. They sell "Alternative and Gothic clothing and jewellery" but don't let that frighten you, they don't bite! Some of their clothing and veils would be suitable for Middle Eastern dancing, especially Tribal style. A smallish looking shop in a grotty part of town. Inside it's like the TARDIS with more fabric than the average giant warehouse. Loads of bolt ends and discontinued items to trip over mixed in with top of the line fabrics including shiny lycra and other stuff suitable for belly dancers. WARNING! allow yourself plenty of time, the owner (a nice chap) can talk the hind legs of a whole herd of donkeys!
