The Shiméa Dancers outing to the Brinsworth Gala Day on Sunday 6th July. by Shiméa (Fay)
I thought you might like to see some pics of The Shiméa Dancers outing to the Brinsworth Gala Day on Sunday 6th July.
The weather was a bit damp but as we were dancing in a large marquee it wasn't a problem, it did brighten up in the afternoon and the crowds soon appeared. Among them was a group of guys with Gold Wing motor bikes so I went along with my own Gold Wings. They were delighted to see us all and asked if they could take some photos for their Gold Wing Owners magazine...fame at last!
Back at the marquee we had a short power failure so the drummer of a great young rock band helped us out ... although I think he thought I'd gone bonkers when I asked for "Dum Tac Dum Dum Tac," (they're from our neck of the woods and are called Fiend - do get to see them if you can).
We only had one near mishap, I had to do a supa-fast change into my Arabenco costume. I came dashing out of our gazebo/dressing room completely unaware that the back of my skirt was tucked into my knicker leg and I was showing more than I ought!! Thankfully Karen rescued my skirt and my modesty- big thank you Karen.
We all had a great time and can't wait for our next outing to the Broughton Show on Sunday 13th.
